Again, this isn’t anything fancy but it will get the job done. This is especially great because you can sort and find what apps are most likely slowing your system down the most and clear out only those apps. You can only clear the cache of one app at a time, but I really like having the ability to sort the apps that are currently taking up room in your cache by several different options. If simplicity is what you are after, this is your go-to option. Most of us probably don’t need to wipe our cache as often as this widget allows you to, but hey, to each his or her own. Just tap the widget once and you are good to go. Install it, slap it on your home screen and it will have a running total of everything in your cache at all times. I know this isn’t technically an app, but lets face it this list needed some variety. This certainly isn’t a high-powered, full featured application but it will certainly get the job done. When you tap to choose a specific app’s cache to clear it you are taken to the app’s information page. The other button will just clear your entire cache all at once. The landing screen presents you with two buttons, one to see how big your cache is and what apps are using up that space. This is an app that could not be more simple. With all that in mind let’s start working our way from worst to first. Before we dive in I would caution anyone against constantly emptying your cache because your apps need it to run in the background. If that doesn’t fix the problem, one of these applications might help you out. If this does happen to you I’d restart your device before you do anything else. Keep in mind that Android generally does a great job at managing the size and stability of your cache, so I wouldn’t suggest you worry about it unless you have some issues with your device getting laggy or slow and use a Android Data Eraser.
